Mars Petcare, Inc announced a voluntary recall of 5lb. bags of its Krasdale Gravy dry dog food sold in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania and Red Flannel Large Breed Adult Formula dry dog food sold in Pennsylvania stores. The products are being recalled because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, which can cause serious infections in dogs and cats. Read more on the recalls from their website.
Mars Petcare, Inc also owns pet food brands; Cesar Canine Cuisine, Pedigree, Sheba, The Goodlife Recipe and Whiskas, which are not involved in the recall.
